I think the theory is true because during WWII so many people stood by and watch Jewish people get taken away for no valid reason.

Propaganda pushed non Jewish people to not help just as rumors pushed people to not like Owen.

I think the theme of the story "Cheboygan Day," is that no matter how alone you feel, you should always do what you think is right.

"The Lottery" ends in a very graphic, unsettling way. Shirley Jackson's intention for writing is not to advocate for violence but to warn others about how extreme "following tradition" can become.

Critique the story by deciding whether or not the message is clear. Did you understand what lesson she wanted the audience to learn? Why or why not?

I think the message was clear if you understood the context clues and the hints to what was happening. I think the lesson she was trying to teach was, as it was put in words such as lottery, (A good thing) it was a terrible situation; therefore, she wanted us to learn that as you do things together in bad, the worse the cruelty can be.

This movie will be about a ghost haunting a man. It creates a suspenseful tone. I think this because it seems like there is jump scares.
