Saya mengaitkan video "Say Beautiful Ugly Truth in Fashion Magazine" dengan teori interaksi simbolis karena orang-orang memiliki pandangan yang berbeda terhadap satu objek yang sama, yaitu sebuah fashion magazine. 
Pandangan pertama adalah pandangan dari pihak pembuat majalah, dan pandangan kedua adalah pandangan dari para pembaca majalah. Para pembuat majalah memandang bahwa para wanita yang terdapat dalam majalah mereka merupakan wanita yang "sempurna" menurut tolak ukur mereka, dan dengan berpandangan seperti itu mereka pun membuat majalah yang akhirnya menjatuhkan para pembaca wanita di dunia ini. 
Sedangkan dari pandangan para pembaca, mereka memandang bahwa majalah fashion tersebut justru seperti ingin "menjatuhkan" mereka dengan menaruh gambar wanita yang slim, tinggi, dan berkulit putih, serta menambahkan kata-kata seperti "She is prettier", "Something is wrong with you", dan "Actually a lot is wrong with you". Dengan menaruh gambar dan tulisan seperti itu, maka majalah itu sebenarnya secara tidak langsung mengatakan bahwa kalau bentuk tubuh dan wajah mereka belum seperti yang terdapat di majalah, maka mereka adalah "kurang cantik / jelek".]]> 2016-10-12 00:38:03 UTC https://padlet.com/gracelyn_aglia/sociology/wish/130000863                                           CASANOVA (1) gracelyn_aglia https://padlet.com/gracelyn_aglia/sociology/wish/134462140                
 Casanova is a 2005 American romantic film directed by Lasse Hallström starring Heath Ledger. The shooting location itself took place in Venice, the city of love. Shooting on different locations has been a trademark feature of Lasse Hallstrom, the versatile Swedish director. This movies uses a period in Renaissance era, which was a period of time from the 14th to the 17th century in Europe. This era bridged the time between the Middle Ages and modern times. The Renaissance started in Florence, Italy and began to spread to other city-states in Italy.

              Casanova is a notorious playboy who is such a genuinely fascinating and seductive person. He’s caught leaving the bedroom of a nun, and Pucci, one of the prosecutors of the Inquisition puts him into trial. The Doge of Venice is sympathetic to Casanova, but he couldn’t be too lenient to him to avoid troubles with the church. The Doge then warns Casanova that he should marry soon and be faithful to whoever his wife will be, or he will be expelled from the city.

Her mother pushes her to marry Paprizzio, a lard king of Genoa whom she has never met before. When Paprizzio arrives in Venice, Casanova tells him that the hotel he’ll stay for is closed and persuades him to stay at his house. He also lies and says that his name Bernardo Guardi. While Paprizzio stays at Casanova's house, Casanova visits Francesca and pretends to be Paprizzio.

During the Venetian Carnival, Casanova confesses his true identity to Francesca, which makes her angry. Casanova and Francesca are both arrested, Casanova for committing crimes against sexual morality, and Francesca for revealing that she’s Bernardo Guardi. They’re both then sentenced to death. Just as they’re about to be hanged, they are saved by an announcement that the Pope gave amnesty to all prisoners who were to be executed on that day. It is later discovered that the "Cardinal" who gave the announcement was actually Casanova's stepfather. They all then escape to Paprizzio’s boat, leaving Giovanni behind as he continues to be the next Casanova.

As an example in this film is when Casanova was pursued and caught by Pucci after he had sex with a nun. To Casanova and the nun, what they did was right, for it caused no harm to anyone and they both enjoyed it. But to Pucci and the church officials, what Casanova did to the nun was a crime against sexual morality, a fonication with a novice. The church officials’ understanding of what Casanova did was different from Casanova’s point of view alone. Casanova thinks that what he did was just for fun, satisfying his lust, for no girl in this whole world could resist him, as he was the “Casanova”.
