To be honest, I do really interested in microbiology. But in my experience before, I don’t have too much opportunities to connect with things which is related to microbiology in my life.I know there are too much secrets in microbes and too much things for me to explore. After having classes in week 1 , I started to learn about microbes for there further informations.Dr. Wan told us that the types of the microbes and the stories behind the microbes. I was deeply caught by the content. Also, she told us that we are going to hold an activity about microbes. We learned about the internal structure of prokaryotes and eukaryotes. We watched different types of bacterias and classified the types and names.

We learned the process of catabolism and anabolism and the products or ingredients that the process included. Also we focus on the structure of ATP and what does ATP work in the reactions. It is also important that enzymes are closely related to the speed of the chemical reactions. There are mainly six types of enzymes used in our life. The mechanism of the enzymatic actions is mainly because of the specificity and efficiency.Microbial ecology is the study of microorganisms and their interactions with each other and their environment. It explores how bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other microbes influence ecosystems, nutrient cycles, and human health.

As I mentioned before, Dr. Wan told us there will be an activity about microbes. We went to the mines shopping mall and introduce the microbes to kids who are not very clearly know what is the microbes. In my group, we designed a small game to let the kids realized that there are microbes everywhere and we should clean our hands frequently and correctly. Also we made some large models about some types of microbes and introduce the structure and the function of the microbes.

Understanding their interactions within ecosystems and their impact on human health is crucial for advancing scientific knowledge and developing targeted strategies for environmental management and healthcare.
There three phases in the microbial growth process: log phase, stationary phase and death phase.

Immunology and epidemiology are two essential branches in the field of biomedical sciences which is the topic we focus on this two weeks.
Immunology studies how organisms defend against external pathogens and abnormal cells through the immune system. This includes research on the composition, function, and regulatory mechanisms of the immune system.
Epidemiology focuses on the spread, incidence, and mortality of diseases within populations to better understand the origin, transmission routes, and impacts on different groups.
We learned about the organelles which attend immunology and what role do they act in the immunology. Also the methods of reduce the spread of the diseases.
