When you comment on a classmate's post, give them a compliment sandwich. One nice thing about their writing, followed by constructive criticism, followed by another kind statement. Ex. I like your connection to the story, but I think you could improve the complexity of your analysis. Also I agreed with your description of the character.

As Ted wakes up and sees the light shining through the stained glass window, the narrator says, “In a few days he’d be inside, and he wouldn’t mind at all.” In other words, Ted has grown as a character and is ready to go home. The author is trying to make us see how Ted has grown throughout the story. He has now become more accepting and at peace with himself, and is ready to go back home. This passage had a significant impact on my thinking on Ted’s character. It helps show me how he has grown. I think I understand better why he went out to live by himself during the summer. I think he may have wanted some time alone to reflect.

The purpose is to show that Ted is tired of being alone and would like to move back with his family. Ted is living on his own in the cabin he made in the woods. The school year is about to start again and he is thinking of moving back to his house. The quote means Ted is becoming more sociable, and wants to live with his family again. It reminds me of school, staying away from home for what seems like forever, and going home is great.

School is about to start in a few days and Ted is getting ready to move back into his families house. In those last few days of summer Ted wakes up, and seeś his golden glass window full of light, the Narrator then states ¨In a few days he would be back inside and he wouldn mind at all¨. In other words Ted doesn't mind being with other people anymore. The Author is trying to show through this quote that Ted has become more comfortable with other people through his two months of loneliness.
