S: My main goals for this term are to receive a grade of A or higher in Math and learn to recite more in class. I want to be able to excel in all of my lessons this term and eventually get a grade of A or higher in the end. I also want to recite more in class and learn to be more confident in giving my thoughts and insights on the subjects.

M: To keep track of my progress, I will try to compare my assessment grades to my previous assessments and see whether or not they improved or not. If my scores remained consistent and decent enough, then I know I have improved. If not, I will make sure to study and practice on my own in order to learn from my mistake.

A: I plan to achieve these goals by giving more time to studying Math and practicing on my own at home. In order to do well in my tests and assessments in this term, I want to be able to get used to practicing on my own and learning to better understand the topics through self study. This way, I will also be able to gain more confidence and recite more in class. Recitations strengthen my ability to solve problems at a faster rate, so learning to better understand the topics and gain more confidence can help me do so.

R: These goals are important to me because Math has always been one of my most cherished subjects in school. Gaining more confidence in recitations and learning to practice the topics on my own are important to me in order to do well this term, especially since this is our last year in the JHS.

T: I think that I can achieve this goal in about a week because, compared to last year, I was able to adapt to my surroundings in school faster during the term. I am also confident that I will achieve these goals because of the support me and my classmates give each other. Through this, we can work hard together as a class, learn from our past mistakes, and become better students in the end. I believe I will be able to fully achieve this by the end of October and learn to apply my newfound learnings to the 2nd and 3rd terms respectively.

I can say that my first term as a Grade 10 student was very formative and eye-opening. Right from the very start, I knew that it was going to be a very unique experience for me and my classmates. Throughout the term, I was able to better understand the topics over time and gain more confidence in reciting in class. However, I still found myself losing confidence at times and not raising my hand. The second half of the term was when this was most apparent. I gradually started to lose confidence in myself and my skills, not only in math but in other subjects as well. Even though I lost some of my confidence over time, I want to learn from my experiences from the first term and try to achieve my goals in full in the second term.

Although there were many challenging tasks this term, I found one of the most recent ones to be the most challenging. The 3rd Long Test was, at least for me, the hardest task of this term because of one particular part of the test. I struggled with the final word problem a lot because of my confusion with the perimeter and lack of values given. I struggle with word problems in general so this one confused me to the point of not even being able to answer it completely. This led to me getting a low score on the LT. However, thanks to a bonus question, I was able to bring my score up a lot. If I were to tackle this word problem again, I would spend more time to analyze it and not overthink too much. This way, I would possibly understand it better and successfully answer it within the time period.

One of my misconceptions came in the topic of Quadratic Functions. In this Check-Up Quiz, I answered this question incorrectly because, in the process of solving for the zeroes of the function in order to find the axis of symmetry, I wrote the positive sign as negative. Instead of answering x=2, I answered x=-2. After viewing my mistakes, I decided to go over the module one more time and try to understand the nature of my misconception. After going over the learning materials and trying some practice items, I was able to learn from my previous mistake by learning to review my work more carefully and checking for any possible errors in the equation.

I would consider the Homework #6 - Linear Models as my best work. This is because I put in a lot of effort into reading up on the material about Linear Models. Although I struggle with word problems, I still did the best I could to solve the questions given. I also learned from my previous mistake of not reviewing my answers properly and checked my work for any possible mistakes. I got a perfect score in this assignment because of how much effort I put into it.

One of my most memorable collaborative works was the Cerebry Practice Assignment. Although it was only assigned for practice for the 2nd Long Test, me and my classmates still tried to help each other out by discussing the questions together. We also compared our own answers and discussed our mistakes together. Because of this, we were all able to learn more about the topic and be productive in accomplishing the task. This task also led to us all getting high scores in the Long Test. Me and my classmates were able to learn from our previous mistakes and eventually understand the topic better.
