1) If you follow the syllabus you will do really well as it is by the syllabus.
2) Send your teacher short answer writing to grade
3) Keep a quote bank. If you use it in your exam, place it in '   ' inverted commas.
Always stay up to date with your work or it gets stressful.
Advice from Ms Glasheen
1) Do not highlight anything on your paper ever.
2) Use the language that is in the question and in the syllabus.
3) Pointers document - Ms McKinnirey will give you a copy at our next lesson.
4) Sample prelim paper. Ms McKinnirey will add to our next lesson.
5)  If you are responding to a 3 mark question, you should respond in 6 lines. Be succinct. Think about the question before starting your writing. A 5 mark should be around 15 sentences and an essay question three quarters of a page. A five mark question needs to answered directly not given context and waffle!
6) Never restate the quote in a question in your response - EVER.

Your responses will be critiqued by Ms McKinnirey and Ms Glasheen and will be returned to you with improvement feedback in our next lesson.

1. Explain what the Dreaming is. Is it more than ‘Dreamtime’?

2. Identify some of the features of Dreaming stories, using examples from some stories you have read or heard.

3. Define what ‘layers of meaning’ means in relation to a Dreaming story. Illustrate using another story as an example.
