The portal was created by Persidangan Perpustakaan Universiti dan Perpustakaan Negara Malaysia and is called MyUniNet ( PERPUN ). Since 2005, PERPUN has served as a platform for interaction between the head of public institutions and universities with relations to the government and the director general of the National Library of Malaysia. MyUniNet Portal is a PERPUN portal that supports academic and research initiatives of Malaysian scholars and students.

MyUniNet portal symbolises the cooperation and smart partnership between PERPUN members. The creation of the portal demonstrates PERPUN's dedication to offering scholarly information resources through a single access. The portal provides access to MyTO, which provides a list of all public and some private university libraries' theses collections, and MyULIS, which includes a list of all serial publications to which the libraries have subscribed. One resource to turn to for information and materials through interlibrary lending services is MyULIS (ILL). Two Special Interest Groups (SIG) which is Malaysian Information System Librarians (MySyL) and Malaysian Online E-Resources Consortium are involved in the design and implementation of the MyUniNet Portal (MOLEC). These two SIG members are in charge of the MyUniNet portal's content.

Since its establishment in 1967, the Malaysian National News Agency, also known as BERNAMA, has grown to employ over 700 people, including 400 journalists, editors, photojournalists, and video cameramen. A BERNAMA library focusing in news and information about Malaysia is called the News Library & Information Centre (InfoLibNews). Newspapers, radio broadcasting, and websites are among the paying subscribers to BERNAMA's Newswire service, which produces and distributes news and information. The primary users of InfoLibNews seem to be the BERNAMA personnel and the customers of the BERNAMA Library and InfoLink Service (BLIS) from the libraries of various public and private organizations.

Our two main collections are more than 5 million news and information items concerning Malaysia and reading materials from the ILMU library system. BERNAMA News is divided into the following categories: General News, Economic News, Features/Special Reports, Press Releases, Infographic, and Advertorial. It also includes news, reports, articles, special reports, and news focus/analysis. InfoLibNews archives local newspaper news, which is accessible through the Archival News Module, for archival purposes and to provide more options for news sources. The Who's Who Module, a collection of profiles of significant Malaysian figures from numerous sectors, contains information. A data bank is a collection of facts on many topics and events. Both modules get data from legitimate sources such as Malaysian newspapers, BERNAMA's wire reports, and other books and websites.

The United States Library of Congress has a long tradition of supplying other libraries with cataloguing data, resources, and goods. In addition, it is possible to place orders for replicas of things in the collection, and they may be obtained in print as well as in a variety of other forms. Other sections of the Library provide support to patrons who are doing research by means of online forms and tutorials.

1. Cataloging Distribution Service (CDS)

CDS is responsible for the distribution and marketing of cataloguing records as well as tools and resources connected to cataloguing that are owned by the Library of Congress. Classification Web, Cataloger's Desktop, and MARC Bibliographic and Authority Records are three popular tools in this category.

2. Duplication Services

You can order digital copies of items that are fragile, rare or that were made using technology that is no longer in use. Order reproductions of Library of Congress materials from the National Archives and Records Administration (NAS) or the US National Air and Space Museum (AASM) online.

3. Emergency Management, Response & Recovery

When it comes to conserving collections and artefacts passed down through families, being prepared for unexpected events and catastrophes is very necessary.
Being prepared involves both taking preventative actions and being aware of what to do in the event of an unexpected circumstance. Personal safety may be increased, and a catastrophic loss of property can be avoided, if one is prepared in advance with a plan for what to do in the event of a catastrophe. This prepares one to respond in a manner that is quick, calm, and effective.

4. Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Through the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) programme, the Library of Congress makes its collections available for borrowing to any academic, public, or special library in the United States or abroad. Borrowing materials from the Library of Congress is not possible for private individuals; instead, they must go via their local public or research library.

5. Ask a Librarian

Connecting with Library of Congress specialists via online chat and user-friendly forms is a great way to have your questions answered.

MEMBERSHIP

The Cooperative Serials Program (CONSER) of the PCC is an official source for bibliographic information, documentation, and training materials for the cataloguing of serials. CONSER is part of the PCC. CONSER members collaborate in a spirit of confidence and collegiality to create standards pertaining to serials and serve as a voice for serials within the library community.

Types of Membership

Full, Associate, CONSER Enhance, Funnel, and Expedited PCC Institutional Membership are the five different types of CONSER membership that are available at this time. Participation at the Associate Level is open to both individual institutions and collaborative initiatives. The following provides a description of each membership type as well as the criteria associated with the corresponding degree of involvement.

a) Full membership
National agencies and research institutes are the types of organisations that fall into this category of membership. These organisations are responsible for the compilation and maintenance of significant number of serial bibliographic records on a continuous basis.

b) Associate Membership
This category of membership includes single institutions and cooperative projects. Single institution members include those with a special subject, language, or format focus, such as state and special libraries, centers, and associations. They also include smaller research institutions that make broad contributions encompassing a range of subjects, languages and formats.

c) CONSER Enhance Membership
Institutions that enhance existing authenticated records and/or preserve such records, as well as perhaps maintaining unauthenticated records to reflect changes in the serial title, are the institutions that fall into this type of membership. The process of enriching records involves adding information to validated records that was not previously there (e.g. MeSH headings, vernacular data, classification numbers, etc.). Members of CONSER Enhance have the option to keep their membership either permanently or temporarily, during the length of a certain project.

d) Funnel Membership
Institutions create CONSER Funnels on the basis of mutual interests in an area, a topic, or something else entirely. It is essential that funnels have a framework that allows for the monitoring, training, and reviewing of funnel participants as quickly as possible. There is no need that individual members make a certain minimum amount of donations each year. Maintenance or authentication of new CONSER records are also examples of possible contributions.

e) Expedited PCC Institutional Membership

An institution is able to achieve PCC membership on an accelerated basis if they engage a PCC cataloger with previous expertise and then apply for the expedited PCC Institutional Membership. This includes getting authorizations from NACO, BIBCO, and CONSER so long as the cataloger was able to work independently in these areas at a prior PCC institution.

To sum up everything, the Library of Congress is the biggest library in the world, with almost 170 million individual objects; yet, utilisation is what ultimately contributes to the success of the Library. There is no shred of doubt that the human knowledge and the materials held by the Library possess enormous amounts of intellectual worth. When attempting to demonstrate their worth, however, they must look further than the quantity of collections or the number of research requests from Congress. Instead, they should concentrate on expanding their user base and, perhaps even more importantly, measuring the impact of the valuable collections, services, and experts that they have.

UNESCO or known as "The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization" It was founded aftermath of world war II happen in the century 1945 November, 16 at London, the United Kingdom by several countries and of those countries have been called as United Nations. The reason for its establishment is to manage the matters of political and economic agreements between states to build lasting peace and also protect humanity, and the matter of this world. For over 70 years of UNESCO's establishment, during the time of its existence, this national organization has brought a lot of impact on the world and humanity, and this is the proof; In 1949, UNESCO launched a major world program to combat racism, created in collaboration with leading intellectuals such as Claude Lévi-Strauss, Alva Myrdal, Alfred Metraux and Michel Leiris. It led to a series of similar statements on racism, including the landmark Statement on Race and Racial Prejudice, which called for the implementation of a range of measures to combat racism and inequality. Over the years, UNESCO has used the full force of its mandate to combat all forms of racism. In 1994, the Slave Route Project was established to further the development of scholarly research on the transatlantic slave trade and to deepen global understanding of the ideological underpinnings of racism.

In 2003, following the World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance, UNESCO adopted a new Integrated Strategy to Combat Racism, Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance. A shining example of this strategy is the International Coalition of Cities Against Racism, a network of cities interested in sharing experiences to improve their strategies to combat racism, discrimination, xenophobia and exclusion. UNESCO has also partnered with major sports clubs such as FC Barcelona, FC Málaga and FC Juventus to fight racism and discrimination.

‘Those who cannot remembered the past are condemned to repeat it’ ( George Santayana). The quotes that were spoken and referred to multiple times throughout any literatures or publishment certainly carries the weigh that is overbearing. UNESCO works are the progress of the past for the betterment of the future. UNESCO, as an extension of the United Nation counterparts, fully understand the merits that peace brings, and how importance the works and progress to ensure the world is heading towards the right path.

Every members of the UNESCO must also understand the core of the fundamental of the organization, that is to contribute to the establishment of a culture and peace, the extermination of poverty and sustainable development and intercultural dialogue through education, science, culture, communication and information among many others. The implementation is not an easy task, any if not, multiple of instances can hinder the progress of UNESCO in accomplishing their goals. That is when the members must join in hands and partake in any initiatives done by the organization, not just for the sake of harmony and safekeeping, but to also shown togetherness that humanity long stood for.

As a commoner, it is indeed baffling or rather confusing over how can we partake in the efforts of the UNESCO. Some of the goals might seems to far in the future, and others might think that the project proposed by the organization is just an empty words, filled with promises yet none were attainable. It is indeed a rather extravagant goals but one must keep in mind that the organization purpose are no others than to helps humanity in prolonging our existence here on earth. Our cynicisms are bred through the constant hate and multiple of conflicts, and any efforts for the greater good is just a castle in the air. This mindset needed to be reverted, and UNESCO are working hard to ensure that we do actually have a chance in the future. All of these efforts and goals is essential, it does not just falls to the hand of the leaders of the countries, but also the people that are in the countries. The sites that were renowned as historical sites once hold its measure than just a historical sites, but the advancement of civilization foresaw the built, a bridge of past and current civilization, and the efforts by UNESCO is the reason the gap is still narrows. As things stand. Perhaps it is the time to actually recognize the attempt by UNESCO in the preservation of the human culture. If not for ourselves, do it for others.
