Employee relations pertain to a company's efforts to enhance and maintain harmonious, peaceful, and productive relations between the management and its employees. It contains seven points, which are to promote a spirit of partnership, establish systems and procedures for management and employees to freely discuss employee rights and benefits, encourage workers' participation in policy and decision-making, and so on. The labor union is the formal association formed by workers within an organization as a vehicle for promoting and protecting employee interest, and the labor unions in the Philippines must be registered with the Bureau of Labor Relations. When it comes to collective bargaining, this is the process in which the workers who are members of the union meet with representatives of management to discuss and negotiate the specific issues and proposals raised by the union concerning their compensation and work conditions. The employee movement is the result of modifications in the status and nature of employment for personnel. Separation is the termination of personnel by the employer, while retirement is the withdrawal from one's position or occupation or from one's active working life.

Employee relations is concerned with the development of positive connections and interactions between employers and employees, and on a broader level, it aids in the development of a feeling of community inside a company. This could include establishing open lines of communication in the workplace or assisting employees with their emotional, physical, and psychological well-being. Finally, the purpose of employee relations is to foster a favorable relationship between employers and employees, resulting in increased employee retention, happiness, and productivity.

II. Labor Unions and Collective Bargaining

A labor union is an organization created by employees in a certain trade, industry, or corporation to improve salary, benefits, and working conditions. A labor union, officially classified as a "labor organization," and also known as a "trade union" selects representatives to negotiate with employers in a process known as collective bargaining. When successful, bargaining produces an agreement that specifies working conditions for a set length of time. Working conditions, salary and remuneration, working hours, and benefits can all be bargained during collective bargaining. The purpose is to reach a collective bargaining agreement via written contract. Collective bargaining is a fundamental right for all employees, according to the International Labour Organization.

III. Employee Movements

The most basic definition of employee movement is the transfer of employees from one firm to another. It gives information about the company's health in terms of employee happiness and engagement levels. Internal movement allows your employees to move into other roles and further their careers within the same firm, which improves employee retention and engagement. Furthermore, this frequently goes hand in hand with a culture of knowledge sharing and constant learning.

IV. Reparation and Retirement

Separations of employment may be voluntary or involuntary. Voluntary separations include resignation with notice, resignation without notice, job abandonment, and retirement. Involuntary separations include layoff, end of appointment, completion of contract, and discharge. The Separation benefit is given to employees who have not reached the retirement age of 60 but have been separated from the service.

Retirement - In everyone's life, there comes a time when rest is required for the daily work routine. Depending on the context, the term has both practical and theoretical applications. Certain companies may have a dedicated team for maintaining and improving employee relations and this term may refer to this team. In other cases, the term may refer to theories, plans and policies designed to support employees and their interests. Regardless of the approach, employee relations are typically overseen by a company’s human resources department.

2. Labor Unions and Collective Bargaining

Labor unions are voluntary, democratic associations of workers. Trade unions are organized for a specific trade or occupation, while industrial unions represent workers in a particular industry. National unions can have many local chapters. The term “collective bargaining” refers to the negotiation of employment terms between an employer and a group of workers. The terms negotiated during collective bargaining can include working conditions, salaries and compensation, working hours, and benefits. The goal is to come up with a collective bargaining agreement through a written contract.
