It's interesting. Should've been approached differently. For example, a rolling system. Start with current kindergartners, and phase out old curriculum.

I think there is too much of a focus on common core and leaves out other important concepts.

I like the focus on higher order thinking questions... I dont think

it's developed enough to ever truly be applied in all areas

What about elective areas? I'm always confused when I have to select Common Core standards because my content area is not represented.
