Henry Morton Stanley is responsible for the deaths of around 10 million Congolese people because he was the one who had laid down the foundation for what was going to come. He also abused those who worked for him and sometimes the abuse led to death. When he first arrived at the Congo he hurt the people and if they refused his treatment he would issue a torturous punishment. He covered up all his wrong doing by pretending to run organizations and depicting a good person for the media. His lust for fame and acknowledgment made him execute anything that stood in his way, which meant harming others in any way possible.
