Certain regions of the world are known for their high food production, thanks to favorable climates, fertile soils, and advanced agricultural practices. For example, the Midwest of the United States, the plains south of the Great Lakes, is the world's largest corn agricultural specialty region, with high temperatures in spring and summer, which is suitable for corn growth. Corn in this region is also an important agricultural export product of the United States, which can generate a lot of profits through food production every year.

China is also an important food production region. Different regions in China have different environments and climates that can be used to produce different foods. For example, northern China is suitable for growing corn and rice, while southern China is suitable for growing fruits and vegetables.

B: How to transport food？

Efficient food transportation is essential to ensure that food reaches consumers intact. Food transportation logistics involve a variety of modes of transportation, including trucks, ships, planes, and trains. Each mode has its advantages and can be used to transport different types of food.

For perishable goods such as fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and meat, vehicles with cooling equipment are often used to prevent food from spoiling in transit. Non-perishable goods are often transported by ship or train, which have greater capacity and lower costs.

Efficient logistics management is essential to minimize delays and ensure food safety. This includes using appropriate packaging to protect food during transportation and complying with food safety regulations to prevent contamination.

C: How much of food produced is wasted?

Food waste is a significant problem in the global food production system. It is estimated that about one-third of the food produced for human consumption is wasted each year. This waste occurs at all stages of the food supply chain, from production and processing to retail and consumption. At the production level, food waste can be caused by poor harvesting techniques, pests and diseases. In developing countries, inadequate storage facilities and lack of infrastructure lead to heavy post-harvest losses. In developed countries, food waste is more prevalent at the retail and consumer levels. Supermarkets often discard food that is close to its expiration date or does not meet aesthetic standards, while consumers often throw away food due to overbuying and improper storage.

Food waste means that the resources used to produce food are also wasted, and many people in the world are even suffering from famine.

Improper storage and food appearance issues cause some food to be wasted during the sales phase.

In the end, food is wasted because consumers buy more food than they need, which causes it to expire or become leftovers.
