The Battle of the Bulge, also known as the Ardennes Offensive, was the last major German offensive campaign on the Western Front during World War II. The battle lasted for five weeks from 16 December 1944 to 28 January 1945, towards the end of the war.

The U.S., Britain, Canada, and free French Troops took part in D-Day.

During D-Day specifically, about 4,500 Allied soldiers died, about 2,500 of these soldiers were Americans over the 48-hour period.

In order to increase the odds of success and decrease casualties the Allies used radio signals to mislead Germany into thinking there was an Allied army based in England led by American general George S. Patton. On the night of the invasion itself, the Allies used airborne radar deception the trick Germany into thinking there was an invasion force sailing through the Channel Narrows.

The Allies won D-Day and later the Invasion of Normandy as well.

Operation Torch was an Allied invasion of French North Africa during the Second World War. Torch was a compromise operation that met the British objective of securing victory in North Africa. This would also lead to a southern innovation of Italy witch lead the Italy's surrender to the Allied powers. Put Germen forces would enter into Northern Italy disarming Italian forces and until Allied advance e for the winter.
