That is a perfect way to describe what I feel is my role in the classroom. A coach models how to do things, lets students practice again and again and, most importantly in my mind, motivates and encourages students. Coaches empower those on their team and build relationships with each member. If I can do that as a teacher, I know I can get them to learn!

While there are always students who will throw curveballs, there are ways to prepare for the variety of choices students will inevitably make.
