I’ve been here for 2 ½ years I really enjoy my work. I enrolled at WCC last fall in the Business program. This is my 3rd online semester with the college and I am really pleased with the way my classes have been going. I have quite a ways to go in my current program, but I am excited to finally get this degree! I am experienced using computers including computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. DL classes are a blessing if you’re a busy college student working during the summer and wanting to catch up on classes. This will be my fourth DL class and I’ll continue to take them throughout my schooling. After saving, I was able to purchase a Mac laptop which is convenient to bring wherever I travel to work on schooling. I would have to argue that Mac’s are the best! :)

I've taken one distance learning class in the past and I did not have much instruction/information from the instructor. I can already see I'll do better in this class. There is a much more clear path to completing the class. I hope to gain some new knowledge about how businesses can benefit from technology. I do have a computer at home. It's a MacBook. I've seen that some classes refuse to let you work with Mac at all, so I'll have to work on finding a way to use windows for those assignments!

To give you an idea of how old I am, my first computer was a Commodore PET and I saved my work on old Journey cassette tapes.  Today I use windows at work and home. I'm pretty good at researching how to get things done, and am not scared to try it, so most of what I know is self-taught. I'm at a decent level as a user but any programming I've learned is long forgotten and obsolete. I'm hoping this class will take my knowledge further for future jobs. After transferring to Eastern I hope to be finished with a business degree within a year or two. My job consists of me working on a computer all day so I'm very comfortable with using one.
