I have always been someone who believes that the sky is not the limit. I believe that every student has that ability to achieve anything if they put the effort and hard work into it. I also believe that they cannot do this without the support of their families, counselors, teachers, friends, community, etc. I feel that with the support there is so many opportunities for achieving many goals because there will always be someone there to advocate for them when they are feeling uncomfortable to do it themselves, we are that someone. I believe that each child is different and they should be free to express their unique personalities and should not be blamed for doing otherwise. I feel that by encouraging and always offering support to them students are their very best self because that is who they are, the best!

I feel that as a school counselor, I will advocate always for every student. I will make sure that each student is comfortable and understand that when they come to me they are allowed to feel any and every emotion without judgement. I know that all students will not be comfortable enough to express themselves but I will always make sure to let them know that they will always have my support. Some students may feel that they are never heard or anything they say doesn’t matter. I will let them know that it means everything to me because it will allow me to advocate and always find ways to help the best possible way.

Ethical Standards guides the work done by school counselors to make sure that we are providing professional services the best way. These standards are pretty much the guidelines to a successful career so that we can always do things correctly.

My vision statement is to never stop trying to be the best to help all students by showing every student confidence, encouragement, and compassion in every possible way. To effectively communicate and listen while modeling to them ways to communicate effectively. To always take initiative to advocate for them when it seems as if no one else is listening. To be supportive of all students academically, socially, and emotionally. My mission is to always make sure that each student gets the support, resources, and opportunities that are available.
