Who we serve?
We serve students growing up in impoverished and/or underserved neighborhoods. Some of our students can be  at risk of hunger, homelessness, or falling into gang activity; therefore we are strategically placed in an urban center.

What we do?
Our main focus is comprehensive and holistic education. All of our students:
  • receive personal and educational counseling
  • free breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • rigorous academia 
  • development of life skills 
  • mental and physical health service

Family-upon entering lowerschool  each student is assigned a "family" that includes a group of students and a teacher. This family will have "seniors" and teachers serving as mentors. The families will meet a few times a week to study, work through life difficulties, and provide a tight-knot community. 

2. Clusters-students explore clusters during lower school. Upon entering Upper School, each student joins a specific cluster that determines their daily activities and curriculum.

3. Friday Night Live- An important part of Temple community! Friday includes family game, movie, or fun night. *Students may participate in religious activities on Friday*

At-risk students are given first priority to board, if they are interested.

  • All new students must attend our annual Fall Inauguration. Every student must attend Winter Convication. It is greatly appreciated if every student attends Graduation to support our graduating seniors. 
  • Day students- welcome to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner at school. Student may participate in daily after school activities

Students
1. Lower School (6th grade-9th grade) studies under a mastery curriculum. These young people are not given letter grades but assessments. Throughout lower school, our students progress is tracked and measured, and most of their curriculum is based off the needs of the child. 
2. Upper School (10th-12th grade) studies under a "college preparatory mastery" curriculum based off one of our many clusters/community: Academic, Service, Activity, Professional, Arts, STEM.
