I wanted to learn more about how to use technology in a positive way in the classroom and I feel like I have learned that. Going into this class I had a more negative view of technology when it came to using it in the classroom and this class has changed my mind on it a lot! I learned how I can use technology to enhance my learning such as how to create an active link or how to use QR codes. I also learned how to use technology in the classroom with students in ways that help engage them such as using computer games. I learned how to write an objective. I also learned the importance of teaching the students about digital citizenship and I learned how to write a lesson plan using standards. I am very proud of myself for teaching my first lesson and for writing my first real lesson plans. I can still see many ways that I could improve when it comes to teaching a lesson like knowing how to handle behavior in the classroom and continue learning how to write different lesson plans. Because of this class I now love Piktochart and Padlet. I think that they are really fun ways to do projects and they are great for the creative part of me. When it comes to the tech tools for my future students I think my favorite would be Prodigy because it looks like a great way for students to have fun while the teacher assesses what they have learned. Technology can help teachers to stay organized, be more efficient with their time, and provides them with more resources and ideas to use in the classroom. Students can become more engaged and interested because of technology and can have fun while learning! Technology can help students of all different learning methods to learn at the same time and can teach kids in some ways that the teacher can not.
