         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The Fifteenth Amendment was added to the Constitution after the civil war, it made that no state could take any citizen the right to vote on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude. It was a big step for fare rights to vote. But despite this addition to the Constitution, The some states&nbsp;were able to make laws that made it difficult for African Americans to vote.  Like needing to pay taxes when voting, and passing a test about difficult questions. It made it difficult for minorities to vote. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>      Later on, as more people were fighting for voting rights. The federal government started to make voting rights laws around 1970-1982 to broadened the federal role in elections. Voting taxes and tests were abolished, and the ballots will be printed in Spanish and other languages. This has helped African Americans and other minorities to have more access to voting. </div>]]></description>

They did many tings to get suffrage, but By 1914, only 11 states gave women the right to vote. After world war I, The Nineteenth Amendment was ratified, it gave  woman suffrage and was put into effect nationwide.</div>]]></description>
