There are many different ways people may deal with traumatic events: some may decide to lean on others for help and support, while others may try to keep it to themselves and deal with it alone, which is not a good way of dealing with it. People may react differently based on how they were raised and what they have been taught. Sometimes people may not want to share their feelings because they feel like others will not understand

People who experience post traumatic stress may seek to open up to others. Whether it is talking to a therapist one on one, in a group, or a close friend. However, not everyone responds to trauma in the same way. Others may feel uncomfortable openly talking about their trauma and instead prefer to work on it alone. Everybody heals in their own way even if each others situations and experiences are similar.

People deal with traumatic events by surrounding themselves with positive people. People who have experienced the same or similar events react differently because everyone is different. Some people prefer to be alone and reflect on the event that took place rather than immediately learn from it, and try to see the positive outcome from the experience. Some might take more time and have trouble healing. Overall, everyone comes to a conclusion in there own way and on there own terms.

Some ways people might deal with traumatic events is by seeking help, whether that be through friends, family, or medical help such as therapy, or they find a solution through a coping mechanism. This could be more exercise, hobbies, or doing something they enjoy to express their frustration and trauma. However, not always are these coping mechanisms beneficial to people, and some could have negative effects to someone. People might react differently depending on what their trauma is and do what they think will help them to cope. For example, someone might take up running as a coping mechanism to deal with their trauma because they feel exercise will benefit them, while someone else might take up drawing or painting to express their trauma through art and creativity.

Nevena

Some ways people deal with traumatic events include shutting down or becoming overly sensitive. Coping mechanisms can be represented by a scale in which one end showcases a person completely shutting down and seemingly appearing “non-effected” by the events that happened. These type of people will often use humour to hide their true feelings and disregard what happened to them. On the other end, the person becomes extremely sensitive to certain scenarios and restrict themselves to their own little bubble. These type of people will make it clear of certain boundaries and commonly partake in proper coping strategies such as talking about their feelings to professionals, etc.

Tien
