- in terms of sales in Europe, Swedish match dominates, especially in the Scandinavian countries. larger tobacco industries such as Marlboro will always pose as a competitor to Swedish match, however their main product sales is from cigarettes whereas Swedish match' sole product is chewing tobacco such as snus.  because chewing tobacco isn't too common outside of the Scandinavian countries it means SM have had to break through to the tobacco market in the US especially. with that being said the company has recently become widely popular with their chewing tobacco.
