         <description><![CDATA[<div>Oscar Neimeyer<br><br>Ever since he was a kid, Oscar would always be drawing. After he graduated from Barnabitas College, Rio de Janeiro in 1923, he went to work for his father in his typography house. In Oscar's life, he has been very influential in the world of architecture. He helped design the Brazillion Pavillion for the New York World Fair, the United Nations Building, and 600 other projects. He especially helped improve the designs for Brazil.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

She has also designed Ohio's new Center for Contemporary Art, the London Aquatics center for the Olympics, and the Tokyo Olympics center. Her brilliance gave her the Pritzker Architecture Prize which had never been given to a woman.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Some of the things he is known for are the Santa Monica Place, Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, the Norton House in Venice, Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, the Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA, and the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Renzo Piano<br><br>During his first commission to design the Italian Industry Pavillion, he met Richard Rodgers, a British architect. This pair went on to establish an architectural firm.&nbsp; Some of Piano's most famous works are the New York Times Building, The California Academy of Sciences, and The Shard in London. Piano has also gotten many awards, in 2013 he was appointed as the senator of life in the Italian senate for his "outstanding cultural achievements."</div>]]></description>

Modern BIM and CAD software has increased the speed of this process significantly. They had to draw everything with pencil, by hand.  Sounds easy but it took forever and became very tiring. </div>]]></description>

Several meetings may take place until both parties are satisfied with the conceptual design. However, designing an entire building is a huge task for a single person; architects work with civil and structural engineers to discuss technical issues and the structural integrity of a building.<br><br></div><div>Architects are not just involved in the building design phase. Their role is important in every stage of a project, and this article summarizes their responsibilities.
