         <description><![CDATA[<div>Group 1 (yellow): <br>- programs that facilitate learning beyond classrooms, time constraints, and evaluation frameworks<br>- acknowledging the spirit of learning and life<br>- spiritual foundation for educational environments, access to language, culture, traditional foods and practices<br>- holistic learning<br>- acknowledging that every student learns in their own way<br>- should recognize and encourage potential in students, not limit them<br>- allowing students to utilize their lived experiences and knowledge in order to be in charge of their education <br>- work to bridge gaps in between levels of education, support and accommodate academic transitions<br>- a safe and welcoming environment (non-judgmental, every experience is an opportunity to grow, free and comfortable to talk about anything) - a second home<br>- share what you know in hopes to inspire others<br>- foster development and growth as well as self-awareness. <br>- empowerment via cultural &amp; language immersion <br>- finding one's identity<br>- encourage others to speak up<br>- find ways to better serve our communities <br>- land based knowledge<br>- advocates/role models to provoke critical thinking, self-reflection, abstract thought<br>- educational support staff to guide students (especially those with families who have not had a high degree of education)<br>- programs that cater to unique needs of Indigenous students (only limited funding presently, should be more)<br>- two-eyed seeing</div>]]></description>
