The younger people thought more about how the candidates could help THEM but the older people were more focused on getting an ally that could potentially cause some sort of change. They were not all compelled to either campaign or vote for either candidates.

The Republican vote is based mainly in very southern states, (including Alabama which was mentioned in TKAM). They are based mainly in the suburbs where the old rich people live because they have different morals and virtues than states considered more leftist like New York.

However, I think that the protesters way overreacted over the death of George Floyd. He received a funeral worthy of a president's when he was just an average citizen. Sorry if I offended anyone, but I think that it was overkill for protesting so hard over the death of 1 man, as the protests and support for him have caused the deaths of many others too. So in conclusion, I support the BLM movement, but I think that its overkill and people overreacted over the death of George Floyd.

To Kill A Mockingbird teaches us about perspective and the importance of empathy. The novel's principle character: Scout Finch, starts off not quite knowing how to get along with others, baffled by how Walter Cunningham had his lunch and resorting to violence to resolve her problems. Over the course of the narrative, Scout witnesses racial prejudices and how people dismiss families by labelling them according to "inherited" characteristics. She goes from thinking Boo Radley strange to be unwilling to leave his house, to understanding his desire to distance himself from the capacities of evil in people.

To Kill A Mockingbird teaches us to develop critical thinking. If the people of Maycomb had been less ignorant to the struggles of a Black man, would the jury still have convicted Tom Robinson? If there had been women on the jury, would the result have been different?
