It can guide lost animals and souls and revive and restore lost habitats, it brings life and energy into nature, and restores purpose in animals. It heals the living by using water, guides them by directing wind, protects them by moving earth, and fights or scares them by inflicting fire.

I chose it as it would be a great way to show the flight and flame-based capabilities of my Alebrije to show that it can protect and watch over nature. In contrast, the bat represents its sneaky and watchful eye over its surroundings as bats sleep quietly and stealthily through caves in nature. I selected the bat as the sneaky and instinctive nature would be a great addition to my spirit Alebrije. Lastly, the tiger represents the Alebrije's ability to hunt and maintain its circle of life, the ability to hunt, defend, with its expertise in navigating and understanding the creatures of nature, while looking menacing. I picked the Tiger as it can protect, look menacing, and understand its nature around it. Its ability to roam the lands, combined with its prey ability and understanding of the circle of life, makes it a must-have for adding it to my Alebrije. All three of these creatures also consume water in some way, which is the Alebrije's way of healing others and giving with nature.

  • The tail is thin and the wings are medium, the ears are a bit large, and the head is proportional to the body. The legs are a bit thin. Its face is a bit resembling of a wolf, but it is of a tiger.

The black and green on its body also represent its attachment to land and its love for nature and earth.


    The black spots or areas around its body signify its stealthy characteristics and watchful eye like a tiger or a bat. While its wings signify the wing structure of a bat for stealth but the strength and size of dragons ensure stable flight while watching over nature. Its tail represents a mixture of white and red to signify the burden and pain that the Alebrije carries, as well as its ears represent its surrounding capabilities of hearing and understanding those around him. The cross represents his homeland and a remembrance of his family, while the lines or dots on its body show its will to protect and ensure the circle of life is maintained.
