Some evidence from the book is at the end of the book when he jumps and thinks, “He had to leap, and by his death, the others would live.” This shows how selfless Gregor really was and when he leapt Ares saved him and that was because Gregor cared for him too. Also nearing the end of the book Gregor still was thinking of his friends when he bonded to Ares and said, “Ares the flier I bond to you, our life and death are one, we two. In dark, in flame, in war, in strife, I save you as I save my life.” This clearly shows that Gregor was still willing to risk his life for his friend, Ares. Both quotes show that you should always care for people. The first quote also lead to the second because if Gregor was not nice to Ares he would not have saved him and if he had not have been saved they would not have bonded. Luxa had lost her parents to rats and is very determined to avenge them on the other hand Vikus is Gregors guide and wants to save the underland. Firstly, Vikus is a boy but Luxa is a girl. Both of the underlanders eyes are purple like many. The last outside trait is that Luxa is the queen and she is a royal on the other hand Vikus is her grandfather therefore making him a royal too. Both of them are very important to the protagonist, Gregor the overlander like Vikus who is Gregors guide and guardian for most of the trip and Gregor is very fond of him saying once that he was scared to go without Vikus. Luxa is one of Gregors first friends in the underland although she gets into fights with him. Both of them have motivations that keep them going especially Luxa who is very persistent to save her family (like I said in the beginning) that she even hates Ripred. Vikus is very serious about Sandwiches prophecies and in the prophecy of grey it is said that  the underland might die if Gregor does not save it therefore he tries hard to be patient towards Gregor and his granddaughter Luxa who is very hard headed. Some of the other character traits that I may have not mentioned are that Luxa is fierce when she gets into fights with the rats and gets angry with Gregor on the other hand Vikus is very patient, showing that when he does not get angry with Gregor when he gets in fights and talks back to Vikus. Vikus is also very responsible for Gregor and his sister and taking care of them when they need help. For example she helped Gregor save boots by giving her medicine that makes her still be alive this is showing that another character trait of Luxa is nice. To add on, another character trait of Luxa is confused for example when she made her self a sandwich that she has not done before she was confused on how to make it, what to do and what it was.
