Why do we need to work towards this type of innovation in our schools and classrooms?

We need to work towards this type of innovation because it is proving that students are gaining a deeper understanding of concepts. Another reason why we need to work towards this is because teachers are preparing students for jobs that haven't been created yet and we must give students the best chance to succeed in life by providing them with the tools necessary to do so. By teaching students how to use technology effectively and correctly, we are preparing them for the real world when they are out on their own.

How can the HACK Model be used to facilitate a shift in 'traditional' classroom culture, creating a student-centered/project-based approach to learning?

The HACK Model can be used to facilitate a shift by showing teachers and students that there is more than one way to learn material. It isn't all about taking tests and doing book work. The HACK Model shows students that it can be fun to interact and learn new things with the help of technology. By showing teachers that the students are truly in control of their own learning, it teaches them a sense of responsibility at a young age. The HACK Model uses technology as a basis for learning which is a good thing because the world is continuing to incorporate it into every day life and even into jobs that haven't been invented yet. This model is a goldmine is the sense that it is adaptable to all learning styles and speeds. No one is ever left behind with the HACK Model.
