They operate projects in partnership with international NGOs ChildHope UK and Big Lottery Fund, and local NGO Nari Maitree.

For their projects in 2008-2018 and then in 2019 in the Matuail Sanitary Landfill Area, they established a primary school with a capacity of 200 children (for children aged 6-11 years), a vocational training center (for adolescents from 15 to 17 years), day-care facility (for children under 5 years), healthcare center, and savings-scheme communities for women. The project also provided nutritious meals to the children. They provided all services free of cost.

It also promotes responsible consumption initiatives. 

The company operates incentive-based waste management services, where citizens can sign up on their online platform or upcoming mobile application for the monthly door-to-door collection drives of inorganic recyclable materials such as paper, plastic, glass, and fabric. Those who sign up and hand in their recyclable items can avail coupons or discounts from affiliated brands and restaurants in return.

Garbageman Ltd. takes the collected waste to its recycling facility and segregates the waste according to different categories. They then recycle the waste into reusable products such as school bags to prevent recyclable items from ending up at the country's landfill sites. The company is also working towards converting organic food waste into compost, which consumers can buy and use for gardening.

Bangladesh has been an active member state of the ILO since 22 June 1972. The ILO opened its office in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on 25 June 1973, and initially started working on expanding income-earning opportunities through labour-based infrastructure development and maintenance. 

Major initiatives are taking place in the areas of skills development and increasing employability of young and adult women and men. In addition, the ILO strives to enhance social protection and decent employment conditions for Bangladeshi migrant workers. They attempt to eliminate child labor, promote the rights of indigenous and tribal peoples, and establish basic social protection benefits.

As part of the UN system in Bangladesh, the ILO aims to work closely with and supports the Government of Bangladesh in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 to promote sustained and inclusive economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.

BCCT is concerned with the projects implemented by government agencies. BCCT provides administrative support to the Trustee Board and the Technical Committee formed under the Climate Change Trust Act, 2010. It receives and scrutinizes project proposals submitted by different ministries/divisions of the government, and places them on the Technical Committee for screening. The Technical Committee verifies the viability of the projects and recommends to the Trustee Board for its approval/disapproval or any revision if required. 

BCCT implements the decisions of the Trustee Board and is entrusted with the overall management of the Climate Change Trust Fund (CCTF) including the release of funds for the projects approved by the Trustee Board. It coordinates with the Climate Change Focal Points of different ministries/divisions and communicates with concerned stakeholders, including civil society, NGOs, the private sector, and international agencies. It also monitors and evaluates the projects approved under CCTF.
