Minerals that are mostly extracted from iron are Hematite and magnetite are by far the most common types of ore. Iron is the most important of all metals. 90% of all metal that is refined today is iron. Most is used to manufacture steel, used in civil engineering and in manufacturing.

Another country that is said to produce the most Quartz in the world is China, meaning that they also have a big supply of it.
The places that Quartz is extracted from is pit mines where miners usually use explosives to find it, the minerals that come with Quartz is silica, or silicon dioxide.
Alongside with some minor impurities such as lithium, sodium, potassium, and titanium may be present.
There are a lot of uses for Quartz, but the most notable is for :
1) Jewelry and Gemstones.
2) Watches and clocks.

  Even thought magnesium is a common metal it is really reactive and so it is not found with ought been mixed with a mineral or rock. it is most commonly found it: magnesite , dolomite and brucite.

  Because of magnesium's high reactivity  it can not be extracted like most other metals via a blast furnace but it needs electrolysis which is in short using electricity to extract a metal from its ore or compound.  

  The uses for magnesium are ether simple or hard to understand and i am going to start from the most simple one. Flare gun magnesium is used for a flare gun because of its fast reaction with oxygen so it emanates heat and light when burning so it can be used as a flare, some more uses would be putting it in cameras, laptops, cars, planes as a alloy of aluminum since it enhances its properties mostly the thoughs which are desirable. and finally it is put in paint and plastic.
