In Constitutional framework, what I understand that constitution is supreme to bring law and order imposed to every mankind without segregate others. Whether written or unwritten, it is the base for enacting and amend laws as long as the laws do not against the constitution. However, constitution can be amend as long as there are majority votes to amend it. However, there are articles that difficult to amend. Let's take an example, eventhough Democrats and their supporters against Second Amendment of US Constitution which allow private ownership of firearms, it is required a 2/3 of majority votes to amend which is why never amended as the majority of Republicans still support the Second Amendment.

In executive politics and bureaucracy , it is simple to understand that the head of executive is the head of the government. Bureaucracy is a professional, permanent, paid and skilled group of officials.The job of executive is the powerful person involved in decision making while bureaucrats help to implement it. Indeed, executive whether political(ministers) or permanent( bureaucrats) , they could not simply execute and implement policy unless it is passed through legislative like Parliament or Congress. If passed with majority votes, then the policy is passed but if not, then it is rejected. Whether domestics or foreign policy, the impact of the policy can be a bonus or destruction towards the country. Positive impacts of policy requires strong execution. Weak execution and the policy becomes useless. When Labuan was made a Federal Territory, Tun Dr Mahathir dreamed to make Labuan a free tax port that will compete and outmatch Singapore. A policy was made to achieve the dreams but somehow failed due to weak implementation of the policy.

For me, the topic of political culture as well as engagement in the political world is a topic that impacts me. I am aware that every culture and pattern of government and the political system of a nation is dependent on the national leader. This cultural aspect is also applied in the context of family. Learning this course attracts my attention to current political situation not just in Malaysia, but the other parts around the world. All topics about the comparative political system so far interesting because the facts given were common in our society. The interseting part that I've learned through this course is the government and policy making. There were various governments around the world with their own policy. From there, we can learn and understand how the policy-making happens in different countries with the various political systems and ideologies. Besides that, we can also learn which body or individuals were responsibble for implementations and the enforcement of policies. It is not easy to make a policy with out decision making and negotiations with other parties.

What I have learn after the lectures are the key concepts in the comparative study of politics. The stages of development and social changes from the ideology of known social scientists, Karl Marx and Max Weber. Different country cultivated various kind of political cultures.
