For example The Barrel cactus are found in lots of deserts. they use energy to make there food known as photosynthesis ,and whenever it rains it catches water in there steams and truck it is also expected to live 50-100 years.There also lots of animals located in the desert biome as well. most animals in the desert have fur, feathers, or scales. Those animals have different ways to survive. For example the Fennec Fox is an animal that had to adapt to the lack of precipitation in the desert. The huge ears of this type of fox help keep it cool in the hot desert they use there feet to dig underground dens also there feet helps them protect from the hot sand. These include gravel plains, sand dunes, and dry lakebeds. Most deserts are found in bands along 30 degrees latitude north and 30 degrees latitude south. Some deserts located by mountains are caused by the rainshadow effect. High sun angels and lack of cloud cover in the desert regions allow much solar radiation to the surface. Insolation decreases to a minimum at the poles where the low sun angles.
