By using quizzes to furnish students with immediate feedback, the teacher can quickly determine the status of each student in relation to the learning targets, and students can learn more during the discussions that immediately follow the quizzes, instead of having to wait until the next day to see the results of the assessment in the form of a meaningless grade on the top of a paper. The teacher should use the results of these quizzes to adjust instruction immediately based on student outcomes, " (n.pag.).
wvde.state.wv.us

How and when are constructive quizzes used in the classroom? Give examples.

These are typically done in the beginnings or ends of class with a few minutes to discuss the answers and any misconceptions. For example the students can take a constructive quiz on motion and then switch papers with each other to grade each others papers. Or have the students take a quiz online that gives immediate feedback on what they missed, etc.
Teachers use the results of the constructive quizzes towards their planning as well as instruction. In other words, the result(s) of these quizzes are used by the teacher at all times. For example, if all the students did well on the quiz, the teacher does not have to do a review and can move on, vice versa.
They are used during a lesson to monitor student learning. Teachers use the results to quickly determine the status of each student in relation to leering targets and to adjust instructions during a lesson or unit. They also allow students to get immediate feedback. (https://wvde.state.wv.us/teach21/ConstructiveQuizzes.html)

There are many ways to retrieve constructive quizzes and information about them and how to build one. Many teachers use the website teachers pay teachers to retrieve quizzes fast, but sometimes that won't cut it. The safest thing to do is to build your own constructive quizzes and use resources as guidance.
There are many resources available, but one of my favorites is Nearpod. Nearpod is an app on iPads that is web based and accessible on a log in basis. With this app teachers can create quizzes. The children type their name and begin taking the quiz. The teacher get the results on his or her iPad while the students are still testing. The teacher gets the results immediately, and when everyone has finished Nearpod will create a report and the teacher has the option to download the report as a pdf.

Constructive quizzes are typically used to assess student knowledge of particular subjects. With that being said, it is assessing knowledge of whatever the content may be.
