I'm just starting my 12th year of teaching. Started in LPS with 2 years at Culler Middle School and 1 year at Mickle. Moved back to my hometown of Valentine with my husband and taught in a rural school for 1 year before a position at Valentine High was available. This is my 8th year here. I taught freshman science for 7 years and this year teaching 2 Algebra classes, 3 fitness courses, and a broadcasting class. I don't really know what I'm doing besides going to 3 different classrooms a day! :) It is going to keep me on my toes but definitely excited for a change!

This is my 3 semester of taking grad classes. Don't know if I want to do a doctorate, yet, or just get another Masters....

My husband and I have 2 very busy young boys. As you can see we like to fish.

I am starting my 4th year at Wisner-Pilger Public Schools. The previous 3 years I taught 3rd grade. This year my day is split between 3rd Grade and ELL. Our district has never had a designated ELL teacher before, so I am attempting to develop an ELL Program for our district. I am "building the plane as I fly it" and it is going well so far. I will graduate in May with my Masters so I am just wrapping up my last few course. WOOOO HOOO! :)

I am entering my ninth year of teaching, and I am blessed because for all of my nine years, I have been with the Perkins County School district in Grant Nebraska.
I began my masters class this summer in the TLTE program and so far have enjoyed the flexibility of the program. I have learned so much, and I expect the same will happen from this course. I teach 5th and 6th grade science, therefore I chose my emphasis in STEM. I hope to bring all areas of this program not only into my classroom, but I also hope to help others in my district with the information I've learned.
I've attached a picture with my husband of 22 years. We have three beautiful children, one in their second year of college, a senior in high school and an 8th grader. Life at the Wood house is pretty busy!
