"I went to bed for 8 hours, the average amount. However, when I went to bed for 3 hours, I was more awake and energetic. Therefore, 3 hours of sleep is healthier for the body."

This is a false cause because it claims that having less sleep is better for the body due to one experience. Research shows that having less sleep can weaken your health physically and mentally, so this one statement does not correctly correlate to the result of having more sleep.

An example of appealing to emotion could be a friend or family member trying to get the last piece of cake. They might say, "I love this flavor and I've had a tough day". They are trying to convince you to give it to them by making you feel bad for the horrible day they've had.

This phrase is a cliche because the speaker is using the phrase to make the loss seem inevitable or unimportant. When you lose in a certain situation and you say well "you win some, you lose some" you're basically trying to imply it's okay that you lost and it's not that big of a deal. It encourages acceptance without analyzing whether it could be improved.

Lets agree to disagree is an example of a logical fallacy cliche. This phrase is used to end a debate or an argument, when lack of open mindedness is present in the conversation. It can seem knowledgeable, and non-confrontational but it actually shuts down conversation and makes it apparent that the speaker does not care for what the other person says. The phrase is dismissive and narrow-minded.

An example of cliche thinking is the phrase “boys will be boys.” Most people from older generations grow up seeing some boys being rude and in others opinions violent to each other, for that reason they soon dismiss it as something biological something to do with the term “toxic masculinity.” Outside people who have gone through these observations are too quick to assume that all boys are aggressive with each other and that is how they show their brotherhood/friendship;however, in reality something more serious such as bulling that could emotionally hurt a boy, or even misguided identify as they are confused on how a boy should act.
