A Dad's social event is a gathering specifically designed for fathers to come together and create a supportive and inclusive environment. The event aims to provide a safe and informal space where individuals can be themselves and openly discuss various issues that affect them personally, as fathers and as individuals.

The event encourages open dialogue, allowing participants to freely share their thoughts, experiences, and challenges they face in their roles as fathers. It emphasizes active listening, where participants attentively listen to each other's perspectives without judgment. This fosters empathy, understanding, and respect for diverse viewpoints, promoting a sense of community among the attendees.

In this social event, fathers can freely express their emotions, concerns, and joys related to parenting and their personal lives. The atmosphere is non-judgmental and supportive, encouraging participants to share their struggles, seek advice, and learn from one another's experiences. This exchange of ideas and insights can provide valuable support and guidance for fathers who may feel isolated or uncertain about certain aspects of their lives.

The event may include various activities to facilitate meaningful connections among attendees. For example, there could be small group discussions on specific topics, and guest speakers who share their expertise or personal stories.

Ultimately, the Dad's social event aims to empower fathers, promote personal growth, and strengthen the bonds between them. Fathers can support each other, gain valuable insights, and develop a sense of camaraderie that extends beyond the event itself by providing a safe and open space for honest conversations.

From Tuesday 25 July there’ll be a social event in Durning Hall Community Centre, E7 9AB, on the last Tuesday of the month from 7-9pm. Dads will be able to touch base and see what they can get from the service. Imran will also be visiting schools in Newham to talk to parents.
