I heard of them, but never really deep-dived into them. Therefore, I hope this course will allow me to gain a better understanding of changemaking and how I could contribute to make my community a better place. Current State #1: Students in different faculties of my school don’t often get to interact with one another.
Desired state #1: I wish interactions between students in school could be enriched by the diverse background (e.g., faculty/ expertise and interest) of people with whom they meet. 

Current State #2: There is no proper recycling system in my neighborhood.
Desired state #2: I wish that people are more aware of the impacts that we have on the environment, and that there is a recycling system in my neighborhood as a starting point. From there, programs could be implemented to educate the public.

Current State #3: People are not well aware of how the recycling system works in my school.
Desired state #3: I wish my school population have the basic knowledge about recycling system and recycle their items more responsibly, which helps to offset our negative impacts on the environment.

1. I would like to have a recycling system/program established in my building and/or neighbourhood by working with the National Environment Agency (NEA), who has successfully implemented recycling system in many areas around Singapore.
2. I would like the public lighting system in my neighborhood park to work better during the night to ensure the wellbeing and safety of the residents and pedestrians by inquiring with NParks, who oversees the park, and finding out the steps involved.
3. I would like my school population has a better understanding of the recycling system within my school and in Singapore, and thus recycle their items more responsibly by putting up posters around school about Dos & Don’ts of Recycling in SMU. 
4. I would like that my school population has a better understanding of the recycling system within my school and in Singapore, and thus recycle their items more responsibly by raising the issue to the school management, especially those who oversee green initiatives, and working closely with them to raise awareness within my school campus.
5. I would like that my school population has a better understanding of the recycling system within my school and in Singapore, and thus recycle their items more responsibly by joining clubs and organizations who aim to advocate this cause and educate the public about recycling and encourage them to launch programs within my school campus.
6. I would like students around my school to have opportunities to interact with others who pursue other interests/degrees by organizing meetups and informal discussion sessions that are open to everyone on a regular basis, monthly in the beginning.
