English Language came easy to me when I was a student but it is not the same for children with language and learning difficulties and this is the time SENO like myself and others step in, to guide children with language and learning difficulties.

One takeaway would be if we want to work with children having difficulties with spelling, work on phonological issues first before teaching them phonics.

3. Make it fun and enjoyment
Repeat in different ways at any age with a planned lesson carefully using reward system as a motivator. E.g., earn 20 clips to earn a toy. 

4. Pocket chart aims to support the structure of the syntax and grammatical using WH questions. Visual cues is use as a visual prompt to reinforce their conceptual understanding. 

5. Pragmatics is the figurative language where most of our students with special challenges have difficulties in reading non-verbal gestures and may easily receptive misinterpreted in social setting. From the sharing during TG, I felt that the application of 5W1H was indeed important to help students understand a certain situation better. While some students may find it challenging to understand or process certain things an adult says, it is important on our part that we speak using strategies that will help them view the things we say in a simpler yet clearer way.
