         <title>Industrial Glass</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><div>Pour molten glass on tin to make it flat. The glass floats on the tin cooling and flattening at the same time. At the end the glass hardens. The glass is still 1000 degrees F.</div><div>It hardens in one continuous sheet of about a quarter of a mile.</div><div>It is almost unbreakable at this point because it is so long.</div><div>A robot cuts the glass into 12 feet across. Use suction cup robots to move the glass to packing station.</div><div>They have to wear kevlar suit so they don’t cut themselves on the glass.&nbsp;<br><br>How it affects society:<br>The only greenhouse gas it emits is CO2. This happens when you burn the glass.<br><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>

Also nylon has gotten many of us out of airport baggage claim areas.The invention of nylon led to the introduction of lightweight luggage (made of Nylon).</div>]]></description>

And leftover items like wood or grain.<br>Impact on Society:</div><ul><li>Doesn't pollute as much as fossil fuels and gas.</li></ul><div>There are three main types of biofuel:</div><ul><li>Ethanol, biodiesel, and biojet fuel.&nbsp;</li><li>Ethanol is used in engines that burn gasoline, like most cars.&nbsp;</li><li>Biodiesel is used in engines that burn diesel fuel, like large trucks and tractors.</li><li>Biojet fuel is used in planes.<br><br></li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>How it is made:<br><strong>Plastic is made of carbon rich oil that is mixed with another less rich oil. The mixture is then blended and heated. <br><br>Impact on society: <br>Plastic is very useful for many reasons such as making health care items, but it also has a negative impact. Plastic takes hundred of years to biodegrade, and a lot of plastic items are only used once and then thrown away.&nbsp; Additionally, plastic contains molecules that are harmful to humans if ingested, and plastic polymers get into food, water, and the air. The cellulose is then treated with caustic soda, ammonia, acetone and sulphuric acid.
