How would you describe yourself as a child? Were you happy?
 
Very happy most of the time, yes. I really liked to play outside. I liked to play with my friends, but also my sister. I liked to ride my bike. I lived in a town that was small so I could ride my bike all over. There was an agricultural college there and we loved to ride our bikes to the vet to see a cow that had a hole in its side and you could see the hay being digested in its stomach. We thought it was so cool!
 
 
How was your childhood different from mine?
 
I think the biggest difference was the amount of freedom that I had. When I was 10 I could get on my bike and ride all over town. Things were a lot slower. Not as many cars, not as many people. It was a different time, it was a great time.
 
 
What are you proudest of?
 
My two daughters, Annie and Susan, and my 4 grandchildren. Amelia, Max, Connor, and Zoe. 
 
 
What’s been the happiest moment of your life so far?
 
Retirement! I stopped working when you were born so I could move to your house and help take care of you when you were a baby. That was pretty special. I got to watch you grow for the first 2 years of your life. I will never forget that.

What are proudest of?
All of the wonderful people I have met and befriended, they have enriched my life. 
What is the happiest moment of your life so far?
The day I found out I was pregnant.
 How would you describe yourself as a child? 
Not a happy child, I did not get along with people so well. That's one of the reasons I appreciate people so much as adult. A lot of books romanticize a happy childhood but for me it was not that way.
How was your childhood difference from mine? 
First of all I had a older sister and a younger brother. I also frew up around the time of the Second World War, so I was a war child we had a victory garden in are backyard. I remember I used to eat all the tomatoes, so that's different from your childhood. Also I grew up in the country in Virginia.

we did not have devices beside Tv that only had 3 channels and they were all black and white.
What has been the most important lesson you have learned? 
to be happy and laugh.

i was happy a lot of times and i love to go to the beach and skate and ride my bicical.
