Shallow, warm, marine waters often<br>flooded the continents.&nbsp; Filter feeders such as bryozoans, particularly fenestellids, were abundant in this environment, and the sea floor was controlled by brachiopods. Trilobites were&nbsp; scarce while foraminifera were abundant. The heavily armored fish became extinct, being replaced with more modern-looking fish fauna<br><br></div><div>These are the Trilobites.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Average temperatures during the Carboniferous period, were moderately hot. 68 degrees fahrenheit in the early period, but it cooled during the middle of the period. It was 54 degrees fahrenheit. Based on this chart, the temperature was similar to the Earth's today.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div> There were swamps and trees, but there was much Peat. This was a brown, soil-like material characteristic of boggy, acid ground, consisting of partly decomposed vegetable matter. It is widely cut and dried for use in gardening and as fuel. Here is a diagram on how coal was formed. Carboniferous Coal was formed by trees that grew in swamplands.Over time the plant debris formed the world's first coal deposits. Amazingly we are still using this coal to this day.</div>]]></description>
