Your kiss lies on my face
Like the first snow
Upon a summer place.

Bewildered by that wonder,
The grasses tremble under
The thing they do not know.
I tremble even so.

***
I have watched "Notting hill" then this scene comes up, so I have to find a poem like the first kiss in winter and this is what I've been looking for. Cold hand warm heart.💖

A FAIRY SONG

Over hill, over dale,
Thorough bush, thorough brier,
Over park, over pale,
Thorough flood, thorough fire!
I do wander everywhere,
Swifter than the moon’s sphere;
And I serve the Fairy Queen,
To dew her orbs upon the green;
The cowslips tall her pensioners be;
In their gold coats spots you see;
Those be rubies, fairy favours;
In those freckles live their savours;
I must go seek some dewdrops here,
And hang a pearl in every cowslip’s ear.

***
I really like how William use the word begins with "Over hill, over dale," and "Over park, over pale," to show that the fairy is going around the land. This poem reminds me to Barbie "Mariposa". When I was a child, I would love to be Barbie.😹
