I will give out points to students who go above and beyond in the classroom. These points can be used to purchase rewards from me out of the class store. There will be rewards like homework passes or extra credit on a test. I believe that good behavior should be rewarded as much as negative behavior should be punished. 
En mi clase, el estudiante será recompensado positivamente por un comportamiento excepcional. Voy a dar puntos a los estudiantes que van más allá en el aula. I believe it is important to create these rules with the students so that we have the classroom environment they feel comfortable in. I will post these rules on the wall for the rest of the school year as a reminder of our classroom expectations. The consequences for breaking these rules will also be posted year round. The consequences are at three levels. A level one violation of the rules gets a verbal warning. Level two is a detention and level three is a trip to the principals office and possibly a suspension. Hopefully, we never go beyond a level one. Because you are all a part of creating these rules, I expect you to be invested in obtaining them. 
En el primer día de clase vamos a crear un conjunto de cinco reglas de aula. Creo que es importante crear estas reglas con los estudiantes para que tengamos el ambiente del aula en el que se sientan cómodos. Voy a publicar estas reglas en la pared para el resto del año escolar como un recordatorio de nuestras expectativas en el aula.
