I wonder if professional development via online forums is viable for my district. I am hoping to see this implemented through my project next spring, so I'm wondering what programs are out there...

THERE IS A MULTITUDE OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES, BUT THIS COURSE'S RESEARCH REVEALS MY DISTRICT IS NOT THE ONLY ONE LAGGING IN THE PROCESS OF BRINGING SUCH TRAINING TO ITS FACULTY MEMBERS. IT ALSO SUPPORTS THE DIRE NEED FOR SUCH TRAINING AS SUCCESS OF COMPUTER-BASED LEARNING AND INDIVIDUALIZED STUDENT SUCCESS DEPENDS HEAVILY UPON TEACHER PREPAREDNESS.

I wonder if my students should be on tablets so much - I know I do not want my own daughter connected to a screen all day. Are we really doing them justice by taking books out of their hands and putting more screen time in their places? It's hard for me to see so many students always looking down at something artificial.

PROPER TEACHER TRAINING WILL GUIDE EDUCATORS AS TO HOW MUCH OF EACH IS HEALTHIEST AND BEST FOR STUDENTS.

I wonder if CAASPP testing is fairing so poorly because students are not ready or because it is difficult for students to take on a computer. When I polled my students the past two years, over 90% said they preferred testing on paper.

I wonder if increased students anxiety is correlated with their increased screen time. Yes, content viewed would definitely factor into that, but I'm thinking just the overall act of looking at a screen - what is it doing to our students when they spend most of their day connect to a device

I wonder why on Earth my students cannot type. CANNOT type. For a generation supposedly so tech savvy, how did this foundational skill slip through the cracks? I don't buy that texting is the culprit here - perhaps it is cast aside just as a respect for grammar and legible writing seems to be.
