         <title>Kartini (April 21, 1879): Women&#39;s Rights Advocate</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>RA Kartini is a female hero from Rembang, Central Java. She is known as a strong, smart, diligent woman, and the pride of women throughout Indonesia.</p><p>Kartini was born on April 21, 1879 in Mayong, Jepara. She was born into a Javanese noble family. She was the daughter of Raden Mas Adipati Aryo Sosroningrat, a patih who was appointed regent of Jepara soon after Kartini was born. Her mother was Mas Ajeng Ngasirah, the daughter of Nyai Haji Siti Aminah and Kyai Haji Madirono, a religious teacher in Telukawur, Jepara. </p><p>Since childhood, Kartini only received education at the Europeesche Lagere School (ELS) elementary school. Then, from the age of 12 to 16, she had to stay in seclusion.</p><p>Nevertheless, her spirit in fighting for women's emancipation has been proven through her writings that explain her hopes for the advancement of Indonesian women. These writings were later booked in the title "Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang".</p><p>She was a leading figure in the fight for women's rights in Indonesia. Born to an aristocratic Javanese family, she advocated for education for girls and laid the groundwork for the women's emancipation movement.</p><p>Raden Ajeng Kartini is known as the pioneer of women's emancipation in Indonesia. Through her letters, she expressed her desire to see Indonesian women get an education equal to men. RA Kartini was designated as a national hero in 1964.</p><p>references:</p><blockquote><p>Annisa.          <title>Cut Nyak Dhien (1848-1908): Acehnese Resistance Leader</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Cut Nyak Dien is a heroine from Aceh who is famous for her courage in fighting the Dutch colonialists. She led the guerrilla forces and continued to fight despite the loss of her husband and son in battle. </p><p>Cut Nyak Dhien was born into a noble and religious family in Aceh Besar, VI Mukim region in 1848. Her father was Teuku Nanta Seutia, the head of the VI Mukim government, who was also a descendant of Datuk Makhudum Sati, an immigrant from Minangkabau. Meanwhile, his mother was the daughter of the head of the Lampageu government.</p><p>Cut Nyak Dien was an Indonesian female figure who never gave up on fighting the colonizers. Cut Nyak Dien was later dubbed as the “Queen of Aceh” because of her strong determination in fighting the Dutch colonizers in Aceh, Indonesia. Throughout her life, Cut Nyak Dien continued to fight and resist in order to achieve the nation's goal of freedom from colonialism. Her strategic acumen and courage earned her an honorable place in Indonesian history.          <title>Martha Christina Tiahahu (1800-1818)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Martha Christina Tiahahu is a heroine from Maluku who participated in the war against the Dutch colonialists. Martha's courage has been seen since she was a teenager. At that time, he had dared to take up arms to fight the Dutch Army. She is known for her extraordinary courage even though he is still very young.</p><p>Martha Christina Tiahahu was born on January 4, 1800 in </p><p>Abubu, Nusa Laut, Central Maluku. Her father was Kapitan Paulus Tiahahu, a kapitan from Abubu who helped Thomas Matulessy in the Pattimura War in 1817. She was declared a national hero in 1969. Quoted from various sources, Martha Christina Tiahahu is the leader of the troops from Maluku by Hafidz Muftisany, in 1817. She also participated in helping Thomas Matulessy's troops in the Pattimura War. Her bravery is well known among warriors. Unfortunately, during a fierce battle in Wulas Village, southeast of Saparua Island, Martha's father was shot dead. While trying to save her father, Martha was captured and exiled to Java.</p><p>Martha Christina Tiahahu finally died on board the Eversten.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Dewi sartika was born on December 4, 1884 in</p><p>Cicalengka, Bandung, Priangan Prefecture. She was born to a prominent Sundanese family, namely R. Rangga Somanegara and R. A. Rajapermas.</p><p>Dewi Sartika is an education figure from West Java who established a special school for women in 1904. She fights for women to get the right to learn and develop.</p><p>Along with its development, in 1910, the school changed its name to Sekolah Kautamaan Istri. This school succeeded in inspiring women's schools in other regions.</p><p>Until finally, during the War of Independence, military aggression stopped teaching and learning activities at the school. Dewi Sartika fled to Cinean, West Java and died in 1947. She was named a national hero in 1966.</p><p><br></p><p>references:</p><blockquote><p>Annisa.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Maria Walanda Maramis was instrumental in improving the status of women in Minahasa society. She focused on education and social reform, ensuring better opportunities for future generations.</p><p>Maria Josephine Catherine Maramis, better known as Maria Walanda Maramis, born on December 1, 1872 in Dutch Kema, North Minahasa, North Sulawesi, is an Indonesian National Hero who persisted in advancing the condition of women in the early 20th century.</p><p>After moving to Manado, Maria began writing opinion pieces in local newspapers, advocating for the role of mothers in the family and the importance of early education. On July 8, 1917, along with several others, she founded Percintaan Ibu Kepada Anak Temurunannya (PIKAT) to educate women who had completed primary school.</p><p>Through her leadership in PIKAT, the organization grew rapidly with branches in Minahasa and beyond. Maria also fought for the right to vote for women in Minahasa, successfully obtaining the right in 1921. Maria Walanda Maramis died on April 22, 1924 and for her services, she was awarded the title of National Movement Hero by the Indonesian government in 1969.</p><p><br></p><p>References:</p><blockquote><p>Regita, M.          <title>Tjoet Nja Meutia: Acehnese Freedom Fighter</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Cut Nyak Meutia or Cut Meutia is an Indonesian national heroine from the Aceh region. Cut Meutia was born in 1870 in Keureutoe, Pirak, North Aceh and died on October 24, 1910 in Alue Kurieng, Aceh. She played an important role in the resistance against the Dutch colonialism. Cut Meutia became an Indonesian national hero based on Presidential Decree Number 107/1964 in 1964. At first Tjoet Meutia fought against the Dutch with her husband Teuku Muhammad or Teuku Tjik Tunong. However, in March 1905, Tjik Tunong was captured by the Dutch and sentenced to death on the shores of Lhokseumawe. Before he died, Teuku Tjik Tunong advised his friend Pang Nagroe to marry his wife and take care of his son Teuku Raja Sabi.</p><p>In accordance with her husband's will, Tjoet Meutia then married Pang Nagroe and joined other troops under the leadership of Teuku Muda Gantoe. During a battle with the Marechausée Corps at Paya Cicem, Tjoet Meutia and the women fled into the forest. Pang Nagroe himself continued to fight until finally, he was killed on September 26, 1910. Because of her brave action and fighting spirit made Tjoet Nyak Meutia an inspiration for the struggle of the Indonesian nation in achieving independence.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>She was born as Siti Ruhana on December 20, 1884 in the village (nagari) of Koto Gadang, Agam Regency, in the interior of West Sumatra, Dutch East Indies. Her father Mohammad Rasjad Maharadja Soetan was the chief prosecutor of Jambi and later Medan. Ruhana was the half-sister of Sutan Sjahrir, and cousin of Agus Salim, both important intellectuals and politicians in the Indonesian independence movement.</p><p>Rohana Kudus was Indonesia's first female journalist and an ardent advocate for women's empowerment through media.          <title>RA Siti Hartinah (1897-1961): Pioneering Educator</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Siti Hartinah, better known as Ibu Tien Soeharto, is the wife of the second President of Indonesia, retired General Soeharto. She was born on August 23, 1923 and married Soeharto on December 26, 1947. Ibu Tien was given the title of national hero shortly after her death in 1996.</p><p>As Soeharto's wife, Ibu Tien played an important role in supporting her husband's career and decisions. She was influential in Soeharto's decision to remain in the army in the face of vilification in the 1950s and also pushed for a ban on polygamy for officials in Indonesia.</p><p>In addition, Ibu Tien supported national projects such as Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Mekarsari Fruit Park, the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia, and Harapan Kita Hospital. Although she passed away in 1996, Ibu Tien's legacy and ideas continue to impact the Indonesian nation.</p><p>Raden Ayu Siti Hartinah devoted her life to improving educational opportunities for Indonesian girls.          <description><![CDATA[<p>I Gusti Ayu Rapeg was born in Belaluan, Denpasar on May 11, 1917. It is her goal that Balinese women receive formal education up to a high level. For the advancement of education, I Gusti Ayu Rapeg began her career as a teacher at Meisjes Vervolg School. As an educator who has sincere dedication and devotion, I Gusti Ayu Rapeg along with her friends persistently visited people's homes to provide explanations about the importance of education for women.</p><p>Gusti Ayu Rapeg was one of the educators and successfully established the Putri Bali Sadar association/organization in 1936.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Rasuna Said was born in Panyinggahan Village, Maninjau, Agam Regency, West Sumatra, on September 14, 1910. She came from a noble Minang family. Her father, Muhamad Said, who was a Minangkabau merchant, political activist, and a famous educator at Taman Siswa.</p><p>Rasuna Said is an activist and politician who fights for Indonesian independence.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Lopian, the daughter of Sisingamangaraja XII who bravely fought alongside her father. Lopian was born in Pearaja Dairi, Sionomhudon village in 1848. She was Sisingamangaraja's third child and the only daughter. </p><p>Putri Lopian is a role model. She not only became her father's companion, but also fought on the front lines. The biggest sacrifice she made was her own life while protecting her father from Dutch fire.</p><p>Putri Lopian's struggle symbolizes the courage and sacrifice of a woman in defending her homeland. Her story inspired many generations to continue fighting for justice and independence.</p><p>Putri Lopian's story reminds us that the struggle for independence was not only carried out by men, but also by women.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Syarifah was born in 1896 in Tanjung Pura from a noble family background. Her father, Tengku Pangeran Embung Jaya Setia, was the representative of the Sultan of Langkat in Luhak Langkat Hilir and his mother, Tengku Aisiah, was the sister of Sultan Musa Langkat.</p><p>She was the consort of the last Sultan of Siak, Sultan Syarif Kasim II. Besides being the king's companion, she was also active in various social and cultural activities.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Nyai Ageng Serang was born around 1752 in Serang village about 40 kilometers north of Surakarta near Purwodadi, Central Java. Her name is Raden Ajeng Kustiyah Wulaningsih Retno Edhi Putri. Nyi Ageng Serang was a descendant of Sunan Kalijaga. Her father was Prince Ronggo Seda Jajar who was nicknamed Panembahan Senopati Notoprojo.</p><p>Nyi Ageng Serang is a female fighter from Central Java who participated in the Diponegoro War, 1825-1830. She is known for her clever war strategy and bravery on the battlefield. One of her strategies was to disguise herself.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Malahayati or Keumalahayati is one of the female warriors from the Aceh Sultanate. She was born on January 1, 1550 and died in 1615. Her father's name is Admiral Mahmud Syah. Her grandfather from her father's line was Admiral Muhammad Said Syah, the son of Sultan Salahuddin Syah who ruled around 1530–1539 M.</p><p>Malahayati is the first female laksmana in the world. She is known for her bravery in resisting the Dutch and Portuguese invaders in the 16th century M.</p><p>One of the famous moments was when she managed to kill Cornelis de Houtman in a battle in Aceh waters.</p><p>Malahayati was designated as a national hero in 2017.
