The Caribbean diaspora exists throughout the world and the people therein often tend with the struggle of a diasporic double consciousness. Seen more in the children of these immigrants, it has to do with persons feeling as though their identities are split into several parts. Do they adhere to their traditional Caribbean cultures or do they wholeheartedly accept the cultures of the cities in which they now live. Some people choose to live with accepting both cultures and try to express both within themselves.
