    • Payments can be stopped if necessary

    • One does not have to count notes and risk making counting mistakes
    • Can be drawn up anytime
    • Can be post-dated
    • Can be traced if lost
    • Can be posted more cheaply
    • A customer is send a statement at the end of each month

    DISADVANTAGES
    •  Are not legal tender and other creditors may refuse to accept them.
    • The may be valueless if the drawer has no funds in his/her account.
    • Are not suitable for small amounts.
    • Depositing cheques into an account is time consuming.
    • People without bank accounts will be inconvenienced by crossed cheques.
    • Banks charges are levied on cheque books and dishonored cheques.

    PayPal allows customers to establish an account on its platform, which is connected to a user's credit card or checking account. 

    Once identification and proof of funds are confirmed, users can begin sending or receiving payments to and from other PayPal accounts online or through the company's app.

    In Year 2022 Paypal reached ist peak of membership and there are 429 million active users at the moment. 

    Advantages:
    - easy to handle
    - easy registration
    - fast transactions 
    - good conditions of buyer protection
    -seller doesn't receive bank details
    - new:  PayPal pays in advance - you pay PayPal after 30 days

    Disadvantages:
    - seller has to pay for each incoming transaction 
    - PayPal gives away personal data
