Reflect on your past two weeks and share anything you'd like with the class. If you need some prompts, here you are. What was one thing you learned over the past weeks that you found particularly interesting or helpful? How has your experience with online learning been so far, and what do you enjoy most about it? What are some challenges you anticipate facing as you learn about online course design, and how do you plan to address them?

I honestly enjoy having a hybrid class for training to teach online classes. I believe the Tuesday classes give us the immediacy of f2f classes and the online assignments are super informative. Having the different types of quizzes within course content is more engaging than ordinary multiple choice. For policy and content, I am way more informed about the procedures for checking copyright and accessibility of content.

I have learned so much about online course design over the last two weeks-- I don't know where to begin. However, the best part of taking this class for me has been the actual experience of taking someone else's online course. How eye-opening for me to be the one learning how to navigate the class modules, figure out technical issues with my instructors, scramble to meet the Sunday deadline. It's hard being a student! And fun and rewarding, too. The course design for OCDR Phase 1 is AMAZING, the premier yardstick for lecturers like me wanting to take our online courses to the next level. Mahalo instructors!

The challenges I anticipate are implementing everything I learned. I want to have a high quality online course design but there are only so many hours in a day to devote to it. This summer I would not only like to give my online course a better design, I want to update my class content with new/current material, and different class activities and projects.

My biggest takeaway for the past 2 weeks was the accessibility lessons. I am also quite excited to have learned about H5P, Edpuzzle, and Flip. All of these will be helpful in both my sync and async courses.
