Even though he was failing by not being able to hit the baseball, he did not give up. He kept trying to hit the baseball after he failed. Towards the end of the video, he realized that he should be a pitcher instead of a batter. This is optimism because he saw the best of the situation and every time before he hit the baseball, he told himself that he is the best hitter in the world.
