Executive
Includes president, his advisers and many departments and agencies. 
Responsible for :
  • Signing laws
  • Veto laws
  • pardons people
  • appoints federal judges
  • enforces laws
Judicial
Contains the U.S supreme Court which is made up of 9 judges. 
  • decides if laws are constitutional
  • supervise federal courts
  • overrule past court cases
  • serves for life 
  • can declare acts of Executive branch unconstitutional

    This is important because it allows people to speak freely. With out this the public would not be able to critique the government or follow their chosen religion.
    13th Amendment
    "    Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
