Theme 1- Damnation- Rev. Arthur Dimmesdale starts pure; but ends with corruption. His fall from grace. Dimmesdale is his own deceiver. He was conceiving himself that he was a good man, and that he was "saved". Which is farther from the truth. He even tries to tell the people of his wrong doings, they just brush it off as some of his preaching and the people glorified him more. He becomes his own Savlation and Damnation
