Olympic shooting has a governing body in Britain called British Shooting but the Olympics change country, so because of this the governing body changes for each respected country. Men and women have separate competitions but do have a period of mixed competition. Both men and women have 6 competitions each, 2 on each specific rifle/pistol, with different firing methods. These are called events and rifles are based at 50m with 6 different positions and bolt pistols at 25m and air pistols based at 10m. Shotguns are a bit different but are included in, they use a buck shot round and need to be specifically trained on that rifle/shotgun. So a person needs to train with just that shotgun and can not transition between the .22 long rifle round and buckshot round (12 gauge). It is not against the rules but is done out etiquette and respect for other competitors.
If some one is caught cheating this could lead to a ban from shooting forever but not just shooting, every Olympic sport!
Ways some competitors have been band is by tampering with there rifle. This means they could have been using a lighter cartridge or a special tipped round to help the bullet, pellet travel faster or longer. They could also have been using a custom sight that shows distance and velocity. Checks are done on every competitors rifle but sometimes things can be snuck onto or swapped mid way through the competition but out sports etiquette they stick to the same rifle calibration.

A continuous skill would be, that you are constantly aiming down sight and having to re-adjust yourself all the time. A serial skill would be keeping the target in your sights but reloading as well as keeping steady, so that you are not to go of target to much. Attacking and defensive skills would be the same and that would mean, you are not missing targets.
Other factors they take into account are what's the weather like, is it windy ? Or they are thinking about how efficient they are going to be with there rounds.

Olympic 7's rugby or also known as sevens, is a different form of rugby union. Which instead of 15 players and 40 minute halfes you have 7 minute halfes and 7 players. The rules are the same as rugby union but you only have a minium of 3 players in a line out. Out of etiquete all the teams tend to keep the same amount of players on a line out the same. As a sign of good sportsman like conduct.
There is a specefic goverining body just for sevens rugby, called World Rugby and they also do other rugby union events but are under the name Union Worldwide. Every major nation has a team and is becoming very popular as a Olympic sport. Some the teams include Europe, The Americas, Asia, Africa and the South Pacafic.

A continuous skill would be running as the players will be doing this a lot, this insures that they are making yards and would be considered as a very effective way of attacking the opponents, there can be skill passes done with the ball also making it a very good way to attack. A serial skill would be drawing and passing, an example would be that your side stepping one way to draw the opposite player towards them, then passing. This would also come into attacking but decision making and communication, because these tactical demands are ensuring that this skill move is done correctly and has full affect in the game. An attacking skill would be taking the ball into a player and getting a quick play of the ball, this gives the opposite team less time to get back on side. Involved in this simple play is environmental conditions as you wanting to be taking the play of the ball somewhere smart on the field, ensuring they quick play.
A defensive skill would be getting of the defensive line quickly, putting instant pressure on the opposite team, and maybe this will cause a mistake like a knock on( Dropping the ball forward). This brings with it communication as the whole team needs to do it, to make sure its efficient.

Rugby 7's Rules and laws/regulations

When playing rugby 7's you are only aloud seven players on the pitch but all together a squad of 13, this allows fresh players and a rest. They all play on a full sized rugby pitch(which is about 207 square feet). The ball they use is a size five gilbert ball. If there needs to be a scrum you only have three men and half back who retrieves the ball. The offside and onside system is still the same, so you still have to come back behind the referee. Kicking is the same and drop goal attempts are too adding three points to the score and tries are still the same, five points.
The referee sticks to the same rules and will call up on any faults but will be fair to both sides. The impact of officials on the pitch is to control and enforce the rules and laws. The players know that they are controlling the game and obey the rules but the players know that referee can sin bin or penalise the players and award a penalty kick. An example of the referee having control would be they blow there whistle to award or stop the play of the game.
These rules and laws are enforced by the governing bodies, the Rugby 7's governing body are the RFU. They specifically control the game in British leagues but for the Olympics they use there own recourses and fund, supply equipment for the many events the British team need when competing.

Players can sometimes, go against rules or regulations. Things that are discovered on the pitch like ball tampering, obstruction, fighting can result In a 10 minute sin bin (yellow card) or a red card can ban a player from playing for 3-6 games if its that serious of a penalty. The red and yellow cards can affect managers and any assistant on the pitch and can be sent into there booth or to the changing rooms. Anything discovered off the pitch like steroids, betting fraud or giving away club secrets, can result in permanent ban and a hefty fine.

The International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) control the rules of the sport, which include the rifle size, size of target, distance from target and in-door or out-door competition.
They also decide who qualifies because it would be unfair if the country chosen to host gets to host shooting too, giving native players the advantage. To avoid this the country host it at a converted hosting arena. This can be a field, leisure centre or a stadium. All these places are certified and checked so no cheating takes place.

To qualify for the shooting games each country must put forward there chosen competitors from various local competitions within the country to go and compete against other countries. After this the countries are tallied in wins and losses and saved for the Olympics or future events and then re-done every year, to give every country a fair chance of qualifying.
